Time for a weekly update

Right now the house is still and quiet for once, but it’s because my mom, sister and brother are at Dairy Queen, so I decided I should take advantage of the peace and update this.

You seriously have no idea how close I come everyday to deleting my tumblr. I have nothing interesting going on in my life for right now, or nothing worth noting in an online blog anyhow. I figured I should keep it though, because I’ll probably want it when school starts again. Maybe I’ll just take a break from it for most of August and go from there. I’ll have to determine that soon, especially since today is already the last day of July. I can’t believe how fast summer has slipped away already. I feel like I just got off the bus for the first day of vacation just the other day.

But as for a fascinating update on how fascinating my life is…tonight my sister and I got roped into babysitting Matthew while my parents go out for a long dinner, and then cake at Ram’s Horn. This usually eats up my whole evening since they take two or three hours, and normally I wouldn’t mind, but my mom said it’s because she feels like I’ve been taking too much money from them this past week. That’s a huge joke though, as the most I’ve done was go to Taco Bell with a bunch of people on Wednesday again, and even that was only about four dollars. I really try not to complain, but I haven’t done anything besides babysit and eat McDonalds today as it is.

On the bright side, next week is pretty busy, but in a good way. AND MY SISTER IS GOING TO BAND CAMP ALL WEEK AND MY BROTHER HAS SCHOOL. It’s a win win situation if you ask me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not because I can’t stand being around Megan and Matthew, but Matthew doesn’t know how to spend his time outside of school, and Megan has been pouting all week because she’s dreading going to camp so much. I’ll miss her when she’s gone, but for now, she keeps snapping at everyone and hasn’t had many nice words to speak of, so I’m just counting down the days until she can finally get this over with. Maybe she’ll come home with a sense of respect since the dreaded band camp will be finished.
My next week looks something like this:

Tomorrow (Saturday): Celebrating my cousin Brandon’s birthday until it’s time to go to Caitlin’s for a bonfire at 8.
Sunday: I might be babysitting the special needs kids at my church. Other than that, I think that’s all I have going on.
Monday: Megan goes to camp early in the morning and Matthew returns to school. The peace settles in. I have a doctor’s appointment around noon, and after that I might go to the library.
Tuesday: My parents and I are touring Oakland all day.
Wednesday: Weekly trip to Taco Bell with the same group of friends.
Thursday: Movie day with Melissa and Caitlin, as long as Caitlin is able to attend.
Friday: Matthew is off from school for a little while. Megan returns home sometime in the afternoon.
